On my trip home for lunch I was fortunate to catch the Fed-Ex guy. This was a big mail day for me. What you are about to see is the contents of the BGS package. 100% Jazz.
I'd like to do a top 10 list but it's only an 8 card mailday... so without further ado...
#8 - The Stifle Tower NT RPA BGS 9.5
Population of 7 with none graded higher. As most of you know NT rookies are tough to find in great condition. I've owned a bunch of these Gobert's and this is the only one I've sent in. Beautiful 3 color.
#7 - The Stifle Tower NT RPA Horizontal BGS 9.0
Population of 3, none graded higher. I thought this had a good chance of being a pop 1. No dice. Still a solid grade for these. Beautiful 3 color. His play doesn't always show in the scoring column, but he is the defensive anchor for the Jazz and is leading the NBA in rim protection. Will be great to see him fully healthy again-as he has been fighting the effects of pulling his ACL earlier this season.
#6 - Dante Exum Prizm Black Pulsars Rookie 1/1 BGS 9.5
This year, following free agency, the Jazz's future incurred a serious setback, when the highest of their own first round picks on the team, and point guard of the future tore his ACL in a basketball friendly. This was a huge blow to the Jazz year.
The good news? He's been with the team for much of the season, with ample time to spend with the team and coach Quin Snyder. This #1/1 is the parallel to the base rookie, making it his second best card from Prizm.
#5 - Rodney Hood NT Horizontal RPA #/10 BGS 9.5
Population of 3. Beautiful 3 color Patch. Great action shot.
#4 - Rodney Hood NT Gold Rookie Logo RPA #/25 BGS 9.5
With a population of 2, and the iconic Jazz logo as part of the patch, it's tough to beat a card like this for the Jazz rising star. Scorching the Cavs on national TV on Monday night with 28 points and leading the team to a win without Gordon Hayward, Hood's stock is most certainly on the rise.
#3 - Dante Exum Prizm Black Pulsars Rookie Auto #1/1 BGS 9.5
The best card of Mr. Exum from Prizm.
#2 Rodney Hood NT Platinum RPA #1/5 BGS 9.0
Despite the disappointing grade, the holofoil and the iconic NT Rookie numbered to 5 make this one of Rodney's very best cards.
#1 Gordon Hayward NT RPA #20/99 Jersey Numbered BGS 10
Unquestionably the card of the lot, this Hayward is in a class of it's own. Sporting an above average 3 color patch, the card is also Gordon's jersey Number, #20/99. Not only that, but of the 50 of this issue graded to date it is one of only two to receive the PRISTINE designation. It is truly the best Gordon Hayward rookie in existence, and frankly, the second is not close.
If you have any high end Jazz cards, feel free to tweet me @the27guy.
